About Me

I am a recent graduate of Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri and a native to the rolling country hills of Eastern Kansas. You may know, or be interested in knowing, that I have been in Tanzania once before during the summer of 2012, as part of a service-learning program.  I lived with a host-family, learned how to make chapati (a thick, tortilla-like bread) and loved the experience enough to accept the call when JVC invited me to return.

This blog is meant to serve as a means to communicate with those of you who want to accompany me on this journey and stay in touch with me while I am in Tanzania for two years.  I will probably write about the insights I gain as a Jesuit Volunteer, the lessons I learn from the people of Tanzania, the funny mistakes I make as I try to learn and speak Swahili, and whatever other musings on life in Tanzania that I think you may be interested in hearing about.

Thanks for stopping by! Check back again soon, and feel free to contact me!
